My wife has gotten to the point where she wants to get both of our cats declawed due to the damage they are causing. I am opposed to this. It wasn't until recently that I learned what all was involved in declawing a cat. What a horrible thing to do to any creature. So I am taking it upon myself to find alternatives to where and what they scratch. We have invested in a scratching post but it is useless. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions before my wife goes totally nuts!
